Yoga is the restraint of the modifications of the mind, to control the mind is yoga!  But, first we must be able to control our body, our breath, then we can control the mind.  But, the mind is wild, like a monkey, running here & there.  So, we start by working with the body & breath.   The practice of Yoga is a scientific system of physical and mental practices that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. Its purpose is to help each one of us achieve our highest potential and to experience enduring health and happiness.

Don’t worry, remember, even instructors were once new to yoga! At Yin Yang Yoga we love yoga newbies and we offer several class styles that serve as a great first step. At Yin Yang Yoga we believe that yoga should be accessible to all! So ask questions & always listen to your body, rest when you need to rest & work when you want to work. Please plan to come 15 minutes early to your first class.

Yin Yang Yoga studio creates a warm & inviting environment. We have professional instructors who are ready to help any way they can! Be sure to introduce yourself if you are new & instructors will guide you through the sign-up process. Allow yourself time to sign-in & get settled. Come as you are! We don’t want you to change, we think you are perfect just being you!

Just bring yourself and a bottle of water. Mats, blankets & other props are available, but if you have your own, bring ‘em! We provide everything you might need at the studio, so no worries if you forget something.

There is a changing room available, so bring your workout clothes!  Our Chair Yoga, Lunchtime Yoga & gentle classes could be practiced with the clothes you have on.  We practice bare foot, so leave your shoes at the door!
